The philosophy of 5

The number 5 bears great significance and value from religion, science to numerology. Well, for me, I have a very shallow – if not comic – perspective on it’s importance.

It has been rather difficult to blog because I just don’t have the time to sit down and filter through my thoughts, and write anything worth reading. So, I had to come up with a sure-fire tactic to write; stay relevant and get over my non-blogging guilt. Writing 5 things about anything that bogs my mind should be closer to possible than impossible, I thought – but look at me! I am already two paragraphs into my explanation about why I have a philosophy about the number 5.

My quick search on the internet revealed a few interesting facts which I believe are worth mentioning, “The number 5 symbolizes God’s grace, goodness and favor toward humans and is mentioned 318 times in Scripture. Five is the number of grace, and multiplied by itself, which is 25, is ‘grace upon grace’ (John 1:16). The first five commandments are related to our treatment and relationship with God and the last five concern our relationship with others humans.” Retrieved from Now, how could anyone predict that my philosophy of 5 is so closely related to my reaction to the actions of those I interact with.

The  5 reasons to start a new page on a neglected blog:

  1. Avoid bloggers blues – due to lack of ideas – writing about the first 5 things that come to mind or happen.
  2. To get out of the bloggers closet without guilt or shame.
  3. To start and finish writing a post!
  4. Avoiding the cost of a blog make-over.
  5. Have fun between family, friends and work!
