I made a lovely chocolate cake as part of a surprise birthday. The usual anxiety I experience beset me again!
I decided to create a rustic look, using chocolate flavored butter cream icing, with chocolate swirls. Working with chocolate was slightly less problematic than using fondant. It dries quickly and all flops can be returned to the melting pot.
I was quite happy with the final result.
As for the photography, it’s on my ‘Areas in need of improvement list’.
